Golf

Your swing is a movement pattern. So it can be trained.

Pilates won’t fix your grip or your course management. What it can do is help you find the rotation, stability and control the swing relies on, so your body moves more efficiently and your back isn’t doing more than its share.

Rotation
Turn from the right places

A full backswing needs the hips and upper back to rotate freely. When either stops contributing, the lower back makes up the difference, which is where the ache after nine holes comes from.

Stability
A base that doesn’t move

Power comes from rotating against something solid: weight shifting efficiently through both legs, a pelvis that stays level, feet that know where the load is. Trained standing, on the chair and the tower.

Consistency
A steadier swing on the eighteenth

Control is what makes a movement repeatable. Scores drift late in a round because the body tires and the pattern changes, not because technique was forgotten.

Longevity
Another twenty years of it

Most people stop playing because of a bad back, a hip or a shoulder, not skill. Keeping range and strength in those three is essential, whether you play off five or twenty-eight.

Golf sessions · coming soon

Full sessions, built for golfers.

Fifty-minute small-group classes on the apparatus, each themed around what the swing needs. The same method as every class, organised around your game.

Theme
The turn

Hip and upper-back rotation, so the backswing can come from the right places and the lower back isn’t left covering for them.

Theme
The base

Weight shifting efficiently through both legs, a pelvis that stays level and feet that know where the load is. Trained standing, on the chair and the tower.

Theme
The back nine

Control that holds up better as you tire, so your swing on the eighteenth can feel closer to the first. With time to unload the back and settle the hips.

When rotation gets harder, your back often covers for it.

Feel more like yourself on the eighteenth.

We can’t help your putting. We can help everything under it.

How to start

Book straight into a group class, or start with a 50-minute assessment. We look at hip and upper-back rotation, what your pelvis does under load, and how you manage single-leg work, then focus on what your swing is missing. Play in the morning, train in the afternoon.
